MAKEUP WISH LIST
1/28/16

I am back to purchasing makeup and adding to my makeup collection. I feel like my collection is so small. As a makeup lover I feel like I should have way more. I threw out a lot of my old makeup recently so now I have an excuse to go shopping. Yesterday I saw Lorac's Spring line and instantly fell in love. Their blushes and lipsticks are to die. Tarte also has new products that are just fab. Most of these products are new releases while others are oldies, but I have been wanting for a while now. I am planning to do a little shopping this weekend after we take Evan to see Kung Fu Panda 3. If you have any products recommendations please share. Happy Weekend! XO

TUESDAY TODDLER STYLE: KID + KIND
1/26/16

Tuesday Toddler Style is a blog series that I started towards the end of last year and I really want to continue this year. After I had Evan I fell in love with everything about kid's fashion. I love how every mom has different taste and they make their kiddos look more adorable with their wardrobe. I am constantly on Instagram looking at so much cuteness. This year I realized how much I don't share Evan's outfits anymore. I am crossing my fingers that I can keep up with this every Tuesday. Last year I came across the brand Kid and Kind, I immediately fell in love. Everything in their shop is versatile and beyond adorable. I am so sad that this tee in no longer available, but there are plenty of tee options that you will fall in love with.
I finally got Evan out of his Super Hero shirt. He literally wore it for a week straight and refused to take it off. When we go out he's okay with whatever I pick out (except last week), but if we are at home it's his choice end of story. Who knew a three year old could be so bossy? Evan's style is super casual but from time to time I love dressing him up. I like him to be as comfortable as possible because he is constantly on the run. He lives in T shirts, joggers and converse! Mamas, I hope you enjoy! XO

Food
Happy Friday! I am sharing this weeks favorite smoothie. I have been making this one all week in the morning and it's so delicious. I have mentioned that my skin has been acting really crazy lately. I have been drinking smoothies every morning for the past two weeks and my skin is finally starting to look healthier. I have been consuming my vitamin A to get my skin back on track. Berries and greens are great for your skin and that is how I came up with this recipe.

PLANNER
I will receive my planner in the mail today and I am so excited. One of my goals this year is to become more organized. Everyday I have been writing down a to do list of chores I need to do around the house. Once I have completed each chore I check it off and it's really helped. I tend to forget things or get lazy, but since I have been writing everything down I know I have things to do. It keeps me busy and I'm not watching TV or on my computer all day. This is why I am so excited about my planner. I am determined to be organized this year with the help of my planner, which I scored for thirteen bucks. I can start shopping for stickers and any decor needed to make my planner look cute. This way I can stay motivated and organized all year long. I put together a few things that are essential to all newbie planners like myself. I am currently obsessed with Instagram accounts that share their planner ideas. I had no idea this was big until I started looking into it. Is having a planner your thing? Or how do you stay organized? XO

beauty
I am all about taking care of my hair and skin. There was a point in my life where I kind of let myself go and didn't take care of my hair, skin and body. This made me extremely insecure. I think that happens to a lot of moms, but I am finally at a place where I am starting to feel like myself again. I am finally giving myself the time and attention I deserve. One thing that I would always do before is this avocado mask. My mom always saw me buying products for my hair and she shared a few of her beauty secrets with me when I was younger. She would say avocado is great for your hair and skin. I would always apply avocado to my hair and the results were wonderful. It left my hair so silky and smooth. Avocados is something that is always on my grocery list, but there is always one avocado that ripens too soon and instead of throwing away I put it to use by making this fabulous hair mask. When I was younger I only applied avocado and that worked just fine, but lately I've added two ingredients that make this hair mask even better.
The Recipe:
1 Avocado: it's oils are light, moist and full of nutrients that will moisturize and smooth out your beautiful hair.
1/2 Lemon: helps get rid of the excess oil in your hair.
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil: for shine & strength.
Directions:
I blended all ingredients together. Then I applied it from the roots up. This mask is gooey and messy. It might even get all over the place but it's well worth it. Leave for 20 minutes and rinse off in the shower. If you have any extra apply it as a face mask which does wonders to your skin. I made very little because I only had one avocado that was too ripe, but it worked out well because my hair isn't long.
I let my hair air dry and instantly I noticed a difference. My hair was soft, silky and frizz free. I really hope you give this hair mask a try and give me your results down below. xo

Family
I am thrilled about all the new winter premiers, but more excited about all my shows back on air. Now is the time to sit back, relax, grab some popcorn, or coffee, or both and watch some TV my friends. Clearly I love my TV. I wasn't big on watching TV before, especially when I was working and going to school. I always wondered how people had time to watch TV. Now, I make time. I watch all of my shows every morning before Evan wakes up. My boyfriend and I love to watch our shows once Evan falls asleep or on
the weekend. We binge watched Making a Murder last weekend. My DVR is currently full. There are so many great show on right now and as hard as it was to narrow down my list of favorites. I managed to choose my top fourteen. I planned to do my top five but that just seemed impossible. If you need any suggestions here are a few. What are some of your favorites? xo

It's starting to get really cold in Texas and my skin has been a little crazy lately. I normally have oily skin but around Winter certain parts of my skin get really dry, my lips get extremely chapped and I get the most break outs during this season. I put together a few items that I have been loving and have been helping my skin feel a little better. XO
1. KIEHL'S DEEP PORE CLEANSING MASQUE: I have been using this mask once a week. I leave it on for about ten minutes and remove with a wet cloth. My pores feel so relaxed and clean after using this mask. It has also helped my breakouts calm down a bit.
2. MARIO BADESCU ROSEWATER: I got this for Christmas and I have been using it ever since. It leaves my skin so refreshed and hydrated. I normally apply it before my makeup, after my makeup or on days when I don't even wear makeup. It's makes my skin feel amazing and it's only $7.
3. COVER FX PRIMER: Before I apply my makeup I need a great matte primer. Otherwise I feel like by the end of the day my foundation is gone thanks to my oily skin. I discovered Cover FX a few years ago when it was recommended for my acne prone skin. All of their products in some way help with acne. I've tried their foundation, powder and now primer. Their products work wonderful on my skin.
4. ESSIE NAIL POLISH: Marshmallow by Essie is my all time favorite nail polish. I used to be obsessed with black nail polish during cold weather, but for the past two years I have leaned more towards a sheer white polish. Marshmallow is so beautiful on the nail and it's perfect for every season.
5. TARTE CONCEALER: My under eyes tend to get a little dry during the Winter. I always stay hydrated but using a creamy concealer helps a lot. This Tarte concealer is so creamy and waterproof, which is a huge plus. It's full coverage and it's just perfect!
6. THE BODY SHOP EYE CREAM: Like I mentioned my under eye is always dry around Winter and this eye cream helps hydrate and leave my skin so soft. I can apply my concealer or foundation and my skin won't look flaky. This eye cream is one of my favorites as well as the Tarte's maracuja eye treatment cream.
7. KORRES TONER: My skin is not the same without a toner. After I finish washing my face I need something that is going to help my skin feel smooth, tight and extra clean. Korres pomegranate toner does that and helps reduce my redness as well.
8. SARA HAPP LIP SCRUB: My lips are the worst during cold weather. I love to exfoliate my lips and get rid of all the nasty and flaky skin on my lips. Every lady needs this lip scrub.

Hi!! Hope you had a magical Christmas and a Happy New Year. I took a little break to enjoy the holidays with my family, and today I'm catching up on my favorite blogs. I am so sad that Christmas is over and I have to take down all my Christmas decor. I might keep them up a little longer. I am really excited to see what this new year will bring. 2015 was not the best for me emotionally and I really hope to make an effort to turn that around this year. I've made a few resolutions that I hope will help me be a better and happier person in 2016. I found this cute printable on pinterest, that I haven't had a chance to print it out, but once I do I will hang on my fridge as a daily reminder of what I hope to accomplish this year.
