CURLING INSTRUCTIONS:
I use a 1 1/4 wand. I part my hair down the middle separating into two parts. I grab a 1-2 inch hair section and begin curling away from my face. Most people alternate their curls (away from face & towards face) but I always curl in the same direction. You are probably thinking it will look like one giant curl, BUT I will share a tip that will help avoid that. I start curling from the back of my head and work my way towards the front.
Wrap your hair around the wand 1-3 times depending on the length of your hair. Make sure not to curl the ends of your hair. Hold your hair on the wand for a few seconds. I normally hold for 5 to 10 seconds to achieve a nice curl. Once you have curled both sections let your hair cool down. I wait about a minute and I start brushing through the curls using only my fingers.
I toss my hair back and forth until curls are nice and messy. This helps your curls not to look like one big curl. I then grab my straightener and straighten only the ends of my hair. I just love the way my curls look when my ends are straight.
Finally, I go in with my hair products. I always use dry shampoo, even if my hair is clean. I love the volume it gives my hair. I also love to use a texture spray to give my hair more movement, and that is why I am loving TRESemmé Compressed Micro-Mist Hair Spray in Texture Hold Level 1. It give my hair enough texture and hold for my wavy curls.
