Motherhood is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. But motherhood is hard, at times it drives me crazy! About two weeks ago Evan decided he would do the opposite of what I asked. He would fall on the floor and cry his eyes out if things didn't go his way. The threenager stage comes and goes. Once that settled down a bit came the sleepless nights. He would wake up crying in the middle of the night for a week straight. Those sleepless nights really kicked my butt. So, in other words motherhood is hard, but so rewarding at the same time. If you are a mom you know what I mean. So this is why I LOVE the new TV series Better Things, that premiered this month on FX.
Better Things is a raw depiction of a working, single mom doing her best to raise her three daughters. The main character Pamela Albion, plays Sam, who is hilarious and unfiltered. Each scene is honest and humorous. It's motherhood! I watched all three episodes and mamas you will love it! Tune in this Thursday at 10/9c on FX! Meanwhile you can watch the trailer HERE! Will have to check out that show for sure! Motherhood is a roller coaster but I wouldn't have it any other way. The good, the bad and the ugly, it's all amazing.
ReplyDeleteMotherhood is so rewarding! Sometimes I want to scream in my pillow too but all the good times remind me what a blessing it is!!
ReplyDeleteMotherhood can be amazing at times, but there are moments when they just drive you crazy!
ReplyDeleteI love this show. I think there are so many really emotional moments that it captures. Nothing, I mean nothing prepares you for the joy of being a mother. Or the stress either. It is as if everything is on the line all the time-- and everyone, I mean everyone from your partner to your kids to your parents to the kid's teachers and mentors looks to you. I love that this show captures what it is like to be really vulnerable in some authentic ways...I loved the clip about the doctor's office. It captured how it feels to want to be in control of your health and how frustrating that can be at the same time...
ReplyDeleteThis show is so good! Dealing with difficult teens is realllllll.
ReplyDeleteWatched the first episode and loved it! I have a 12 yr old girl and 15 yr old boy and I have enjoyed all of their ages - it's a blast. And they have yet to give me teenage trouble: I feel super grateful about that :)

I can relate to the bed eye clip. There are a lot of weekend morning where I do pretend to be sleep for the first 30-60 seconds of my name being called.
