With every season I feel so inspired to try new recipes in the kitchen. With Spring here I love putting color and flavor in every dish. If you are like me I use herbs in most of my everyday cooking. As much as I love to use fresh herbs it can get pretty messy in the kitchen. I recently discovered a new and unique way to incorporate herbs to my recipes mess free. Dorot is fresh and frozen portion controlled garlic and herbs. How amazing is that?

I cooked up a pasta full of flavor, color, and creaminess. My sister made a very similar pasta not too long ago. I knew I had to give it a try with my own little twist, basil. Yum!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cubes of Dorot Chopped Basil
1 chicken breast
1 red bell pepper
Handful of grape tomatoes chopped in half
Box of linguine pasta (only used 1/2 of box)
1 cup of arugula
1 cup of half and half
1 garlic clove

DIRECTIONS
1 In a large pot of salted boiling water cook linguine. Drain and return to pot.
2 Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add salt and pepper to your chopped chicken breast and cook until golden.
3 Roast the red bell pepper and chop into slices.
4 Saute garlic, chopped bell pepper, and chicken in large skillet.
5 Add half and half into skillet and 2 cubes of Dorot Chopped Basil. Continuously stir for about 3 minutes and add linguine.
6 Throw in grape tomatoes and arugula. Mix well. Serve and enjoy!

This pasta is so easy to make. Adding the Dorot Chopped Basil gave this dish so much flavor. I am loving Dorot. It is like having your own personal sous chef in your kitchen! With Dorot’s variety, I will be able to easily elevate each dish. Dorot provides the perfect amount of herbs for my meals. Just pop in Dorot, and you are good to go. You can find Dorot at your local Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Shop-Rite, Kroger, Stop & Shop, Giant, or HEB in the frozen food section. Check out more about Dorot HERE!
